Why Are Elections So Long?

The plutocracy needs it.

Why?

Money.

If elections were less than 3 months in length it would be possible for a candidate to mount a campaign without having to rely on big corporate backers.

Those candidates would then be beholden to the people.

That would be horrible.

Laws would then get written and passed for the sole benefit of the population at large. Legislation would be aimed towards righting wrongs and ensuring injustices are minimized.

Who would want to live in that hell-hole?

Imagine a country where corporations are just legal entities and not people?

What kind of crazy commie-talk is that?

How could corporate obergruppenfuhrers afford to get their scrotums polished by Faberge egg laying contralto singing virgins if the corporations they lord over had to pay taxes?

Who would want to live in a country like that?

Probably a bunch of socialists.
